Centretown Community Food Centre
Help Our Neighbours in Need
People need food to survive. But some people in our community are faced with a choice between this most basic necessity and others. Please help us help them. The Centretown Community Food Centre welcomes donations to help purchase extra food to serve our neighbours. Over half of the Centre’s annual revenues comes from donations by generous individuals, local businesses and foundations. The balance comes from the Food Centre’s parent organization, Centretown Churches Social Action Committee (CCSAC) and its member churches.
Who We Serve
The Centretown Community Food Centre is here to help anyone in the catchment area who is experiencing food insecurity. The Centretown Community Food Centre serves people living in the Centretown area bordered by Wellington Street to the north, Billings Bridge to the south, Lyon St. to the west and Main Street, including Lees Avenue, to the east. The Food Centre provides each client with a 3-to-4 day supply of groceries. The Centre is set up to allow clients to browse and select their food much like any grocery store.
