THE ARTIST

Ariane Beauchamp is an Ottawa-based artist with a BFA in Fine Arts from the University of Ottawa. Her work, featured in multiple exhibitions and held in both private collections and the City of Ottawa’s collection, explores themes of isolation and connection through intricate ink and paper works. Known for her detailed paper-cutting and pen techniques, Beauchamp continually pushes the boundaries of her medium, experimenting with the limitations of two-dimensionality while maintaining a deep connection to the natural world. Drawing inspiration from the beauty and complexity of nature, particularly the relationships between animals and their environments, Beauchamp’s practice expands beyond the visual, having also collaborated with musicians and poets to further enrich her artistic expression.
