Récits (Tales) is a visual art exhibition of the Afro-Canadian Cultural Centre of Montréal (CCAM) in collaboration with Mosaïque Interculturelle of Ottawa, produced for Black History Month 2023 under the patronage of the African-Canadian Group of the Senate (ACGS).
Curated by Emmanuel St-Juste and Allison Roberts, Récits presents a collection of thought-provoking contemporary artworks by African-Canadian artists from Quebec and Ontario drawing on their respective backgrounds, and which intertwine and intertwine. Face off in an orderly and impressive ensemble.
This exhibit features two artworks from our artists, "Are you free my daughters?" by Laurena Finéus and "Ice Cream Rules Everything Around Me" by Stanley Wany.
