THE ARTIST

Marjolyn van der Hart is an award-winning artist based in Canada whose paintings have been exhibited nationally and in the United States. Employing imagery from classic films, vintage magazines, and found old photos, she uses nostalgia as a way to reframe the past in order to understand our modern-day experiences. Van der Hart's distinctive visual narratives focus upon love, escape, and female empowerment.
