David Alexander

For the past two decades since graduating from the Ontario College of Art David Ray Alexander has toured Canada a dozen times as drummer for Indie Hall of Famers Lowest of the Low and obsessively photographed and painted the landscape. While touring as a musician he continued to develop his craft, selling privately and through his website www.motelthirty.com.

Inspired by this lifestyle his work is a collage of photography and oil paint.  His subject matter features vanishing moments of urban and rural environments: stockcar races, roadside bars, graffiti covered vans and old liquor stores.  While first and foremost a painter/musician, he has been a 3D lead FX artist on dozens of films currently specializing in the horror genre. David has several Emmy and Gemini Award nominations

for his visual work in the Post Production field.
